She May Be It

What are we getting ourselves into??? It is funny how life happens. Did you ever have a time when everything just starts piecing itself together? Like the fact that the hubby called his old employer (Mr. C.) to ask for advice on starting his own business and Mr. C. asked him to come work for him...as a partner!!! All of this while my the hubby's grandparents are trying to sell their home, a perfect opportunity for us to become homeowners!!! Let me tell you about the power of prayer because all of the people involved in this situation have been praying for a long time...having no clue what the "answers" to their problems were...and this is how it's happening!!! But yes, excited as I am for new possibilities, it is scary!! Did I mention this is where my hubby grew up...not where I have lived my entire life! or the fact that I need to leave my very reliable job and look for a new one!!! But life's an adventure right?! And it is clear who is in charge of this adventure. Thanks to Big Man Upstairs!!

Living Update

So getting married to the love of my life has been wonderful, wonderful, wonderful...but there are some big changes we had to decide on. As a matter of fact, it took us a while to make some decisions. For example we didn't live together for the first 3.5 months of our marriage. Living 2.5 hours apart from one another and visiting on the weekends was not working. Obviously most people would assume this, but we both had stable jobs(in an unstable economy)and we both were making about the same income so the choice was not easy to say the least. Hubby finally made the move out to my apartment after being in a pretty scary car accident while at work. Needless to say we backed out of the Riverfront Bungalow #2 (a beautiful non-fixer up that we found the day we were going to put the contract on the fixer upper!) Money lost but we were so grateful that the sellers were so sweet. After repairing the hole in the ceiling where my lovie had "fallen through" from the attic, they returned the left over money we had put down. So our life has been a roller coaster ride for the past few months but who says roller coasters aren't fun?! While it can be scary, it has also been a exciting adventure! Hubby has had numerous job offers but not the right one...and I have been blessed to still have a teaching job that I can count on. As the school year comes to an end we are again debating to stay where I grew up or to move back to where his family is from. It seems like he has some pretty good job prospects out that way so we may be looking to head back out in that direction. We are feeling the itch inside of us once again to have our own place. Apartment living is not our favorite... our make-shift garden will only do for so long!
